Nanotechnology has a major role to play in transforming industry in the future. Already nanotechnology based polymer products are available in the world market.Indian industry has to adopt and embrace to this new technology as this might change the market dynamics in future. CII is the apex body bringing industries together for mutual growth by way of knowledge sharing strives to bring together contemporary research and the industries in Nanotechnology. CII together with IRMRA promotes the application of nanotechnology to newer spheres through this Penta seminar.

In the recent days polymer science require advanced methods for polymer micro and nano structure characterization. Polymer nano-composite materials are now created having clusters, layers, rods, and networks of nanometer sized materials blended with a bulk polymer. These new nano-composites have desirable properties such as a high modulus low gas permeability etc. Ideally, nanocomposite polymer materials show a dramatic increase in a physical property with a small amount of nano-particle additive which are differs from normal composite materials. Nanotechnology has a major role to play in transforming industry in the future.

It is essential to create awareness, to adopt new technologies and enabling them to use Nano technology in their existing products and process.
