The Conclave

 
 
  • The conclave duration is for 2 days.
  • It would feature special plenary sessions, where CEO’s, industry leaders and visionaries would address.
  • The technical sessions would be divided amongst speakers from international companies sharing new technologies, trends and speakers from India, S. Korea, UK on the latest advancements in the area of nanotechnology.
  • For the delegates this would be the forum where they would learn about new technologies and the experiences of other countries. They would also get to meet and interact with companies involved in these technologies.
  • The conclave would prove to be an excellent "Learning Platform & Business Networking opportunity" to the delegates.

4th Nanotechnology Conclave 2009

"The giant in dwarfs"

CII is the apex body bringing industries together for mutual growth by way of knowledge sharing strives to bring together contemporary research and the industries in Nanotechnology. CII intends to promote the application of nanotechnology to newer spheres through annual flagship event of 4th Nanotechnology conclave 2008.

The immediate priorities in the different sectors are to pro-actively address materials and replacement of new materials, interventions in electronics and bio-systems that provide value to the customer in an atmosphere enabling creativity and innovation. Powering those who "engineer tomorrows" with an enabling infrastructure has been top priority in the all sectors.

The objective of the conference is to promote cooperation in the latest R & D advancements through Public Private Partnerships. The conference shall pave way for collaborative industrial product development, exploring new markets and mutual investment opportunities.

India Nano Mission-2009
13th to 17th April 2009, New Delhi

Nano Technology is a knowledge-intensive and “enabling technology” which is expected to influence a wide range of products and processes with far-reaching implications for national economy and development. CII has been the front-runner in promoting Nanotechnology among the Indian industry. CII launched the nanotechnology initiative in 2002, knowing fully well that this would impact the future of Indian Industry

Capacity-building in this upcoming area of research will be of utmost importance for the Nano Mission. Nano Mission will strive for development of products and processes for national development, especially in areas of national relevance like Nano energy, materials development, sensors development, drug delivery, etc. For this, it will forge linkages between educational and research institutions and industry and promote Public Private Partnerships. The Nano Mission has been structured in a fashion so as to achieve synergy between the national research efforts of various agencies in Nano Science and Technology and launch new programmes in a concerted fashion.

Poster Session

4th Nanotechnology Conclave 2009 commences its Poster Session at The Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi on 14th and 15th April 2009. This activity provides a unique opportunity for Scientists and Researchers to share their Innovations and Research in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology with Industry, Research Institutes and Venture Capitalists.

The main goal of this session is to showcase research initiatives to leading Investors, Scientists and Heads of Research and Development Organisations.

Guidelines for Submitting Application and Abstracts for Poster Session.

  • Topics should be related to research or growth effort and be commercially feasible.
  • Posters with a predominant Research and Innovations' component will be given preference.
  • Applicants should submit a Poster Abstract Submission Form before or on
    28th March 2009 for consideration.
  • An advisory Committee of eminent professionals will evaluate the posters submitted and advise the organisers about their acceptance / rejection. Organisers have no responsibility to convey to the authors about the rejections or reasons for the same.
  • 4th Nanotechnology Conclave 2009 reserves the right to review and approve or deny any application to present a poster at the 4th Nanotechnology Conclave 2009 Poster Session.
  • All information should be submitted in its final, edited print-ready format as this information will be used for printing. The conclave is not responsible for content or editing of submitted information.

Submission guidelines

Please read the following submission guidelines carefully
An author can present only one poster, however, He/She can submit more than one poster paper, one of which may be selected for display.

  • You are welcome to submit abstracts on your research results or advanced applications with regard to the pre-assigned topics.
  • Your submission has to be in English language,
  • A soft copy of the abstract in MS Word format should be sent by e-mail before the last date.
  • Please submit your abstract via e-mail to tntdpc@cii.in
  • Your abstract should be submitted before 28th March 2009

Abstract submission:

  • In the booklet distributed at the conference, the abstracts are printed in black-and-white.
  • Your submission must be in word format and should fit on an A4 size paper which is 210 mm wide by 297 mm tall. Please
  • Be sure you have a margin of al least 30 mm on all edges (top, bottom, left and right)
  • Contributions at least one author must be registered for and in attendance at the conference.
  • The abstract should include brief objectives of the work. The results should be presented along with the necessary interpretation. The abstract needs to be concluded with an inference on the outcome of the study.

General Guidance

  • Acceptance for presentation is subject to review by the technical committee.
  • The selected members would have to make their own arrangements for travel & stay for participating in the poster session.
  • The participants must ensure that at least one of the members is available near their poster presentation during the session
  • No revisions or corrections will be made by the scientific committee.
  • Notice that the Organizing Committee reserves the right to accept or reject papers, and assign them to oral or poster contribution.
  • Contact details of all authors should be provided.

Poster & Display Specifications:

  • Posters will have to be affixed to a display board with pins.

The Poster presenter will have to prepare the Poster in the size of 3 feet by 3 feet.

  • We suggest that it would be ideal to use space at eye level optimally.
  • Your poster must be able to fit in the allotted space.
  • Please allow for a one-inch border on all four sides for a distinctive appearance and to avoid merging with other posters.
  • Use of tables, graphs, diagrams, photos etc is welcome and will add to the clarity and aesthetic appeal of the poster.
  • Please ensure that all the text matter is not less than 24 font size.
  • Kindly put in the contact details at the bottom right side of the Poster.

NOTE: As all accepted abstracts and presentations would be published and publicly accessible, please take care not to unduly expose confidential information.
