Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) has been used by the developed countries as a business tool to achieve economic gains in the world of competitive technological scenario. With the opening up of the Indian economy, Indian companies have to compete not only within the country but the overseas giants.

TNTDPC is an autonomous society of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and Government of Tamil Nadu . This center will promote IPR awareness via programmers and also help industry/ entrepreneurs in patent search/analysis activities. The center will take up consultancy projects to help SMEs file patents and protect the IP generated.
