Eradication of child Labour - Observance of 'Anti Child Labour Day' taking of pledge throughout the State on 12th June of every year - Orders - Issued.

ORDER:

In the Government Order 1st read above, Government have approved an Action Plan for eradication of the use of Child Labour in the State. The Action Plan proposes observance of one day every year as 'Anti Child Labour Day' to focus public attention on the subject. Therefore in the Government Order 2nd read above, orders have been issued to observe 12th of every year as 'Anti Child Labour Day'. In the Government Order 3 rd read above, Orders have been issued that a pledge on child labour should be taken at 11.00 A.M. on 12 th June of every year which has already been declared as ‘Anti Child Labour Day'.

2. The Commissioner of Labour in his letter fourth read above, has proposed the Government to modify the pledge approved in the Government Order 3 rd read above.

3.The Government after careful consideration accept the proposal of the Commissioner of Labour and in supersession of the orders and in the G.O. 3 rd read above, direct that at 11.00 a.m. on the 12th June of every year which has already been declared as 'Anti Child Labour Day', a pledge as in the annexure should be taken in all Schools, Offices, Factories, other establishments and also in all the Government Offices, throughout the State to focus public attention on this subject. The Government also direct that if 12th June happens to be a Government holiday, and the pledge be taken on the previous working day.
