ORDER:

The Commissioner of Employment and Training has submitted a proposal under Part-II Scheme for 2005-06 for upgradation of computer system in 8 Employment Offices at Nagapattinam, Nagercoil, Thirvallur, Theni, Ramanathapuram, Villupuram , Namakkal and Thiruvarur at total cost of 24 lakhs.

2. In the letter 2 nd read above, the Commissioner of Employment and Training has stated that the provision allocated under B.E 2005-2006 to the procurement of hardware and software of the computer and connectivity of 8 Employment Offices under TNSWAN, at a cost at Rs.24 lakhs is not sufficient therefore he has requested the Government to issue necessary orders for upgradation of computer system in 6 Employment Offices viz, Nagapattinam, Thirvallur, Ramanathapuram, Nagercoil, Villupuram,and Theni at a cost of Rs. 24 lakhs under part II scheme,2005-2006 instead of 8 employment offices referred to at para 1 above.

3. The Government after careful examination, accept the proposal of the Commissioner of Employment and Training for upgradation of computer system in 6 Employment Offices viz, Nagapattinam, Nagercoil, Thirvallur, Theni, Ramanathapuram and Villupuram under Part II Scheme for the year 2005-2006 and accordingly sanctioned a non – recurring expenditure of Rs.24.00 lakhs (Rupees Twenty four lakhs only) towards purchase of computer and other accessories as detailed in the annexure to this order in respect of the above 6 employment offices.

4. The purchase shall be made by following tender procedures.

5..The above expenditure shall be debited to the following head of account::-

"2230-Labour and Employment-02-Employment 101- Employment Services - Schemes in the Xth Five Year Plan-II State Plan-JG. Strengthening of Employment Exchanges-76-Computer and Accessories-01-Purchase" (D.P.Code No.2230-02-101-JG-7611).

6. The Assistant Director (Special Cell) Employment Wing is authorized to draw and disburse the said amount by means of a crossed cheque.

7.This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide its U.0.No. 153/JS/(Per.)/2005, dated. 27/05./2005
