ANNEXURE-I.
NOTIFICATION
In exercise
of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of
section 17 of the Tamil Nadu General Sales Tax
Act, 1959 (Tamil Nadu Act 1 of 1959), the Governor
of Tamil Nadu hereby makes an exemption in respect
of the resale tax amounting to Rs.2,83,500/-
(Rupees two lakhs eighty three thousand and five
hundred only) payable under section 3-H of the
said Act, by any dealer on the sale of four thousand
and fifty family packs, each family pack containing
the goods listed in Appendix-II to this Notification,
to Thiruvalargal Action Aid International India,
1170, 36 th street, 18 th Main Road, Anna Nagar
West, Chennai–600 040 for
the distribution to Tsunami affected families of
Andaman and Nicobar Islands, subject to filing
of declaration form specified in Appendix-I to
this Notification by the said Thiruvalargal ActionAid
International India, duly countersigned by the
Deputy Resident Commissioner for Andaman and Nicobar
Administration.
2. The Notification shall be deemed
to have come into force on and from the 6 th May
2005.
