ANNEXURE.
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred
by sub-section (1) of section 17 of the Tamil Nadu
General Sales Tax Act, 1959 (Tamil Nadu Act 1 of
1959), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes
an exemption in respect of the tax payable under
the said Act by any dealer on the sale of building
materials listed out in Appendix II to this Notification,
to Thiruvalargal Mata Amritanandamayi Math, 134-B,
Arcot Road, Virugambakkam, Chennai-600 092, for
construction of 2500 houses at an estimated cost
of Rs.25 crores to the Tsunami affected victims
in Chennai, Cuddalore, Nagapattinam and Kanyakumari
Districts of Tamil Nadu, subject to filing of certificate
obtained from the said math in the Form in Appendix
I to this Notification.
2. The Notification shall be deemed
to have come into force on and from the 1 th April
2005 and shall remain in force upto and inclusive
of the 31 st March 2006. S. RAJARETHINAM,
