Chennai is one of the major automotive hubs in the country and is a major global export hub. The inflow of several multinational corporations like Hyundai, Ford, Daimler, Nissan and BMW has increased manufacturing activity significantly. TNTDPC works towards bridging the gaps between suppliers and OEMs and provide the needed to support to upgrade their technology levels, business practices and in identifying their partners. TNTDPC is looking to recruit engineers with keen interest in the automotive sector to be part of their team to offer services to the Automotive Sector.
Responsibilities
- Be at a client facing role, meeting automotive component manufacturers to identify their needs through ongoing conversations
- Follow the structured methodologies established by TNTDPC to elicit information from companies and help with reporting
- Maintain databases and update them on an ongoing basis.
- Visit companies to perform audits
- Engage with team members to play a supportive role.
- Provide inputs and suggestions for improving TNTDPC practices.
Experience: 1 to 3 years
Qualification: B.E. Mechanical/Automobile Engineering. Candidates with MBA will be given preference.
Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge of working of automobiles and automotive mechanisms and systems (drive, transmission, electrical etc.)
- Understanding of the industry structure in the automotive industry
- Knowledge of production processes in the automotive industry
- Conceptual understanding of productivity improvement measures like TPM, TQM, 5S and Lean
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Enthusiastic team-player who can fit into a close-knit group and interact comfortably and confidently at all levels of people
- Aptitude to learn through practice and field visits to automotive companies.
- Striving for service excellence while being part of a Not-for Profit society.
Robotics and Nanotechnology as an industry is not well established in India. Adoption of industrial and service robots can be a prime mover in improving the productivity and competitiveness of Indian industry. TNTDPC in its efforts to promote robotics interacts with industry members to elicit their needs and provides support through organizing events and industry information. TNTDPC plays a key role in interacting with the government for providing inputs for policy measures to develop robotics industry in India.
Responsibilities
- Be at a client facing role, through interaction with industry members, industry associations, governmental bodies and academic institutions
- Follow the structured methodologies established by TNTDPC to elicit information from companies and help with reporting
- Provide support in preparing research reports and market studies
- Maintain databases and update them on an ongoing basis.
- Design and execute events and developmental programmes
- Create communication and promotional material for TNTDPC’s activities
- Play a lead role in organizing events
- Engage with team members to play a supportive role.
- Provide inputs and suggestions for improving TNTDPC practices.
Experience: 1 to 3 years
Qualification: : B.E./B.Tech. Mechatronics/Instrumentation/Robotics/M.Tech Nanotechnology. Candidates with MBA will be given preference. Freshers would be considered based meeting the requirement.
Requirements:
- Understanding of the industry structure and preliminary knowledge of markets and trends in robotics industry
