Initially the brand Kalyani germinated
from the seeds sown in the rich soil called
RM.Appavu Chettiar Jewellery, the place
where umpteen number of business colossal
got developed both intellectually and skillfully.
Started in the year 1906, Rma with a peerless
rich heritage in the jewellery business
for more than 100 years, gave an inspirational
start to the novice company KALYANI in
1985, through its Founder Mr.AK.Lakshmi
Narayanan Chettiar, followed by his sons
named L.Santharam, L.Soundarrajan, L.Nanda
Kumar, L.Murali Krishnan, who by dedicating
their whole-hearted efforts for the growth
of the company, have proven to be the strong
pillars of Kalyani.
The vision of
the founder was to explore the markets
of various fields and thus providing
a wider range of customer solutions under
one point. Having fixed this vision as
the prime goal, Kalyani started its pace
slowly by stepping into the electrical
and engineering products in 1985. In due
course of time the company started gaining
popularity among the public by its association
with MNC products like Honda Power Products,
Honda Two Wheelers, Samsung, Crocodile
etc. As days went on the wings of Kalyani
attained an alluring & colourful shape
with its constant addition of plumes like
Prestige Smart Kitchen, HDFC Standard Life
Insurance, CRI, ELGI.
Though team Kalyani is happy in relishing
the innumerable hardships that would
have come across while fulfilling the
dream of the founder during the past
20 years, the unquenchable thirst of
Kalyani to step into more business ventures
will always remain a never-ending mission
with commitment to serve our valuable
