Founded in 1960, the company started off with the manufacture of industrial, commercial and domestic type of luminaires. From a factory shed of 5000 Sq.ft., it has now moved to its own premises with over 40,000 Sq.ft. of manufacturing area. In 1962, Baliga PIONEERED the manufacture of Explosionproof lighting equipment in India. Baliga products are manufactured in a completely self-sufficient factory in Chennai with a captive aluminum foundry.

1. Explosion proof Electrical Products - Our range of electrical products comprises of Exd (Flame Proof), Exe (Increased Safety) and Non Explosion Proof (Weather Proof) Equipment such as Lighting fixtures, Control gear, Junction boxes, Switchgear, Cableglands, Accessories.
2. Panels - The panel division specializes in II A / B and II C Panels - Exd MCC, Control Panels, Lighting Distribution boards, Annunciator Panels, Soot Blower Panels & Exp Purged Panels.
3. Instrumentation - We also manufacture: Orifice Assemblies , Orifice Plates , Flow Nozzles , Venturi Tubes from 2” to 36”.
4. LPG - In 1994, we PIONEERED the use of hot air sealing of PVC seals in hazardous areas. This involves the judicious use of FLP electricals with pneumatics but with adequate interlocks.
5. Services - Baliga has the expertise to offer a range of related services such as advice on area classification, selection and maintenance of Ex - equipment, and lighting advisory services, together with cost calculations based on the different light sources now available in the market.
